Noor

updated 1/14/2011

I am a 23-year-old artist/writer/designer/blogger/social justice activist. I’m a proud Muslimah from a strongly interfaith background. I’m a queer crip superhero. I used to be a graduate student in religious studies, but now I am very much enjoying bucking social norms and expectations for what life is supposed to be (you know, that part where you get an advanced degree and then work a nice, normal full-time job with benefits? Yeah, I suck at that). I’m a southern girl at heart, a transplanted Virginian, a future Kansan (hoping to move in the summer of 2011!). I love learning new languages and reading new books. I spend most of my days working, writing, speaking out, writing snail mail letters, and making art in some form or another. I believe strongly in the power of naps, tea, and radical love and resistance.

You can visit my personal blog here or email me at aishah at riseup dot net. Find out what I’m reading over at my Goodreads profile.

I did gently hint – in caps lock no less – that you were neighbours. Sillies!

Now you can meet up for milkshakes and cupcakes.
