Jessica Day George contest winners!

May 24, 2010

Congratulations to our contest winners!

Drawing winners were chosen in a scrupulously fair, very scientific way involving many bits of paper (all of uniform size and folded identically), a large kitchen mixing bowl, and my four-year-old son.

The results are:

Alden wins the grand prize, an advance copy of Princess of Glass, signed by author Jessica Day George herself!

Ticia wins the second prize, a signed copy of Dragon Flight!

Choosing the recipient of the merit prize caused a cross-Atlantic flurry of emails, because all the entrants are so clever and amusing. Finally, Saya’s little sister was recruited to be the Final Judge and read all entries without any names attached to them. The winner of the prestigious merit prize is KeeNan, who cracked up an international audience with her description of her husband’s fractured fairy tales. She wins my personal copy of Princess of the Midnight Ball.

Finally, because I like surprise prizes (and because “surprise prizes” is just so fun to say) there are five additional winners of nifty Jessica Day George bookmarks. They are: Danielle, Kinsey, Samantha, Sharla, and Emma E.

You should all receive an email shortly, and we’ll send you your loot as soon as you reply with your mailing addresses!

Congrats again, and thanks to all who entered. Please be sure to enter the contest for Maggie Stiefvater books, and stay tuned for more book giveaways!

I got my book in the mail the other day and forgot to tell you until just now. Thank you thank you! I’m so excited. Now I can’t say that I never win anything. 🙂
