I have experienced the confusing pleasure of retail therapy helping, temporarily, and wondered what’s going on in my head because surely hiking gardening reading chatting art and writing are better friends to me, and cheaper, but never noticed what you’ve written: the sense of control. Do you know, in my initial ‘about’ page I had made up a wall of bookcovers that were supposed to somehow explain my taste, philosophies, beliefs and intents for the blog to all visitors. It looked very pretty but couldn’t do the job. There are too many books that I know I have read, but can’t always bring to mind, that simply never went up on that wall.

Anyway, YOU’VE READ CODEX ALERA!! No one I know has read codex alera and look at me very oddly when I tell them that yes, Jim Butcher had indeed penned such a series. Yeesh.

Also, you’re Bengali too! This is the kind of coincidence modern artsy Bengali movies are made about. =D

I feel like I grew up with Alex Rider too, btu somehow his intelligence is colder than Artemis’s, so i always connected better with AF…I somehow feel like AR needed more life in him.

Somehow, Eoin colfer does what so few good childrens writers can do (J.K.Rowling is a good example of one who can)- he writes childrens books, but he makes it so unpatronising, he takes his readers seriosuly, and never makes fun of them with poor writing. That is what i love about him.

I fel i have grown up with Harry Potter, Georgia Nicholson, and many others, but Artemis is still the one i love best! I cant wait to read his next ‘adventure’…I love Eoin Colfer.
