I am a 23-year-old artist/writer/designer/blogger/social justice activist. I’m a proud Muslimah from a strongly interfaith background. I’m a queer crip superhero. I used to be a graduate student in religious studies, but now I am very much enjoying bucking social norms and expectations for what life is supposed to be (you know, that part where you get an advanced degree and then work a nice, normal full-time job with benefits? Yeah, I suck at that). I’m a southern girl at heart, a transplanted Virginian, a future Kansan (hoping to move in the summer of 2011!). I love learning new languages and reading new books. I spend most of my days working, writing, speaking out, writing snail mail letters, and making art in some form or another. I believe strongly in the power of naps, tea, and radical love and resistance.
